JIS (Jergens Industrial Supply) Wins ISA American Eagle Excellence In Industry Award 2014

The Industrial Supply Association announced the winner at the 2014 Annual Convention in New Orleans on May 17.  The Excellence In Industry Award recognizes companies in the maintenance, repair, operations and production (MROP) supply channel for their commitment to driving value to partnered customers. This year’s award recognized how JIS created a partnership with Slabe Machine Products, to implement the latest technology to improve production, free up machine time and reduce total tool costs. JIS and Slabe partnered with Fullerton Tool Company of Saginaw, Mich and Browne & Company of Chardon, Ohio and helped Slabe Machine reduce machine time, extend tool life and lower total tooling cost. The program generated total savings of more than $480,000.

“When a true partnership is formed at all levels of the supply chain, amazing things can happen,” said Jack Schron, president of Jergens Inc. “By using these partnership programs, JIS, Brown & Company and Fullerton Tool are confident that we can become true leaders in partnering with local businesses by providing leading edge technology and productivity gains to keep manufacturing strong in the USA.”
